Hebrews 11 clearly teaches that faith is trusting God’s word enough to do whatever He says. Abraham is only one of several individuals illustrating faith in this chapter. “By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance” (Hebrews 11:8). The power of faith is not in how fully convinced we are. The power of faith is in our complete trust in Gods unchangeable word. That is expressed in complete submission and obedience to His word.
