The Greek word for baptize means immerse, dip or dunk. It involves putting something in and lifting it out again. If I intend to obey the Lord’s instructions in baptism, I must be immersed. The command to be baptized in the Bible is always in water. That is something I decide to do. Baptism in/with the Holy Spirit is a promise. That is something God does at His discretion.
