Music in church is from the heart

“Speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord” (Ephesians 5:19).

Speaking one to another in songs to teach and edify by lyrics.  The melody called for is one written and played in/by your heart.

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord” (Colossians 3:16).

The heart filled with the word of God breaks forth in spiritual songs teaches and encourages others in spiritual things.  These songs are full of words of praise for God that pour out of a heart full of grace to God.

These Bible verses are not describing concerts in churches today.  These verses describe the voices and hearts of saints overflowing in faith and godliness.  Spiritual music is produced by the heart, not the other way around.
