Is there, really, only one way?

Is there, really, only one way?
Peter and John, Jesus’ apostles, were on trial for their lives for teaching His death and resurrection (Acts 4:5-12).  They defended themselves by proclaiming what they believed to be true.  That included their declaration:  “…there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved” (v.12).  Salvation is only in Jesus Christ of Nazareth.  If one believes the Bible, he must believe that.
Previously, Jesus asserted the same thing when he spoke to his apostles on the eve of His crucifixion:  “I am the way, the truth, and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through Me (John 14:6).
For many, such teaching is too narrow, too restrictive.  The gospel is broad enough to call and accept all people.  All who are willing to walk in the narrow way are received by the Lord.  As Jesus said, “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.  Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it” (Matthew 7:13-14).
