What shall we do?

After Peter offered clear evidence that Jesus of Nazareth is the Christ, the Son of God, all those who had any part in His crucifixion asked: “What shall we do?” (Acts 2:37). Peter answers simply and emphatically: “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit” (Acts 2:38). Can there be any question about baptism’s role in the remission of sins?
